I have traveled extensively throughout the United States (41 states), Canada and Europe but there are two places that resonated with me: Kyoto, Japan and Oaxaca, Mexico.
I visited Kyoto to begin my Ikebana Teacher’s Training. For more information on Ikebana, please visit the Ikebana section of the website.
Roadside Motel, Oaxaca, Mexico
Oaxaca is at the southern end of Mexico near Guatemala. The whole town is a World Heritage Site and not far from the famous Toltec ruins of Monte Alban.
Although there are tourism and expatriot components, the native culture is still strong. Some people say you can smell the culture! Maybe they were talking about the world-class food (home of the seven moles) or the wonderful art throughout the state.
