After working on some pretty heady projects in historic preservation and economic development, I realized I was happiest making and teaching art. I am energized when I share my knowledge and love of art with others. I use that enthusiasm to awaken the inner artist in others. That’s my goal, anyway!
As a student of art since the age of 5, I’ve learned most techniques for 2 dimensional art from detailed perspective drawing to printmaking and mixed media. Three dimensional art includes ceramics (both functional and non-functional) and building architectural models. So that’s what I teach–all sorts of things!
I give private lessons and small group classes in my home/studio in the Piedmont area of Oakland.
Please take a look at the Classes Page which lists the classes I teach, as well as instructional information about techniques, education, and materials.
